This report is designed for those who are interested in tools which can support
their own efforts toward growth and well-being on all levels. Using astrology,
flower essences, gemstones and gem elixirs, color, music, aroma therapy, visualization,
and other methods, one can transform difficult patterns in one's life and manifest
more of one's positive potentials.
Our emphasis is not so much on eliminating undesirable traits or experiences
as on bringing one into balance so that the positive expression of one's astrological
signature can manifest. A person who is essentially inward and shy and who
has trouble making his way in the world will not become a dynamic, flamboyant
world-conqueror, but he can build confidence in reaching out to others. Rather
than attempt to get rid of his shyness, the focus would be on discovering the
positive gifts his gentleness may offer him and alleviating the more extreme,
isolating aspects of his shy nature. Using these "vibrational" tools,
issues that one may have struggled with for years can be eased, and long-buried
talents and loves can be awakened.
Many of the tools suggested herein, including astrology, work on what esotericists
refer to as the energy bodies, the chakras, or the aura. This subtle energy
field, which emanates from every living thing, is where our energetic and emotional
habits, thought patterns, belief systems, and so on reside. Introducing the
energy pattern of a flower, plant, gem, or mineral into one's aura directly
affects one's emotional and mental energies, and over a period of time this
promotes long-lasting changes.
The key factor in using any of these remedies or tools is one's positive intentions,
willingness, and desire for harmony and health. They are not "magic".
Used consistently and with conscious intention, they reinforce and accelerate
desired changes. In the back of this report is a listing of resources where
you can obtain the flower essences and other products suggested for you. There
are also other tips and instructions.
As you read over your report you may see a number of areas that you would
like to work with. There is a lot of information here and the possibilities
can
be very exciting! However, it is usually best to attend to one issue or cluster
of related issues (a theme) at one time. Choose whichever one is most meaningful
or troublesome to you at present. Keep in mind that you will NOT manifest
all of the potential imbalances mentioned. Some issues may have already
been resolved,
and some will simply not be relevant. In deciding which issue to focus on,
follow your intuition. Remember, too, that gentle, persistent effort is usually
necessary in re-patterning and creating any real change. Best Wishes to You!
Sun and Ascendant: General Characteristics
The position of the Sun in your birth chart represents the person you are
at heart and the path you must follow to fulfill yourself as a unique individual.
It also indicates your personal strength and vitality, as well as what activities
or life experiences you require to feel alive and to replenish your life
force.
The Sun represents your personal identity.
Sun in Aquarius:
Key issues: Community, humanitarian concerns and social welfare, fulfilling
your role in the larger scheme of things, change and breaking precedents.
Key qualities: airy, impersonal idealism; innovative or eccentric; electric;
urge to experiment.
You have an innate understanding of interdependence, of how each part
effects and contributes to the whole system, and at your finest you
are interested
in the good of all, not only your own personal progress or well being.
You cannot feel fulfilled as an individual if you are not meaningfully
contributing
to some group (or cause), something larger than yourself. You find
yourself replenished and energized by working with others for some common
purpose.
However you are often more devoted to an abstract concept or ideal
than to individuals,
and you use your intellect to guide your actions. You may ignore or
be aloof from your heart, human feelings, emotional needs and attachments,
and other
people's as well. You may thus be more suited to brotherhood, sisterhood,
comradeship, or friendship than to intimate love.
In some significant way, you break from tradition or conventional norms.
You can feel like an outsider, the black sheep, the oddball, or way
ahead of your
time. Part of your purpose has to do with introducing or supporting
innovative change in the world. There is also a touch of the extremist
in you, at
least a stubborn adherence to doing things in your own peculiar or
idiosyncratic way.
Patterns of Imbalance:
For feeling different and socially alienated because of it, rather
than cherishing your uniqueness: the flower essences COLUMBINE,
MULLEIN, and
SHOOTING STAR.
For feeling pressured or overly influenced by peers or social expectations,
uncertainty of who you are outside of the group: the flower essence
GOLDENROD.
For conflict with figures of authority, and feeling a sense of
separation; alienation from the past, ancient spiritual traditions,
or elders:
the flower essence SAGUARO.
For feeling ungrounded, cut off from the instinctive self or
body: the flower essences MANZANITA and CORN.
For more warmth, heart, empathy, and feeling, the flower
essences: ALPINE AZALEA, PEONY, MALLOW, and YELLOW STAR TULIP.
For being overly opinionated, willful, intolerant, fanatic,
and judgmental: the flower essences VERVAIN and BEECH.
Gemstones which may benefit you to wear, carry, or take
as an elixir are:
CLEAR QUARTZ and RUTILATED QUARTZ CRYSTALS, which amplifies
your positive intentions and aligns you with higher sources
of inspiration.
LARIMAR, for freeing yourself to pursue new, innovative,
or unconventional ways of thinking and doing things,
especially as these may be
related to service or your contribution to life.
BLUE TOPAZ and YELLOW TOPAZ, both of which harmonize
and strengthen your creative mental abilities and expansive,
clear thought.
Your Ascendant (or Rising Sign) describes your physique, as well
as indicating how you relate to and are affected by your environment.
It has a direct
bearing on your physical health.
Ascendant in Libra:
Your body is symmetrical, well-proportioned, often graceful, and
possesses much physical charm and appeal. Your key to maintaining
good health
is BALANCE and MODERATION in all things, avoiding extremes. For
you, having
a well-rounded
existence is ideal. Spartan physical regimens or strict purist
diets are not for you, and will not be sustained for long. For
you, aesthetic
pleasure
and
enjoyment are necessary ingredients in any health program: food
that is not only nutritious but presented in an appealing way,
exercise
that is
graceful
or done in a beautiful natural setting, the little niceties after
the workout. Unless other factors in your chart indicate otherwise,
you
are actually
somewhat averse to sweating or getting dirty. The buddy system
is your best motivation
to keep health maintenance programs going (playing tennis or
walking regularly with a friend, for instance).
In truth, the state of your personal relationships has a tremendous
impact on your overall sense of well-being. Unlike some people
who can set aside
the personal aspect of things to get the job done, or who are
even invigorated by conflicts and confrontations, you really
need harmony
and peace (at
least on the surface) to function well. You also invest a great
deal of yourself
into a primary relationship (usually with a spouse) and if that
is rocky or
unfulfilling your physical health is often adversely affected.
Sometimes, however, it is your efforts to avoid conflict in a
relationship that
can undermine your
health, (for example, what you are NOT saying, what you would
like to do but do not). Finding a BALANCE between your needs
as an individual,
and
feeding the relationship, is crucial.
Flower essences that can be beneficial to you include GOLDENROD (for being true to yourself and not overly influenced by peers or family members), and CENTAURY (for acting to please others, neglecting your own needs).
Asc. Conjunct Moon:
Your feelings, vulnerabilities, and personal reactions are
right there on the surface for all see, and people like you
for that.
You are also
moody,
and
your emotions profoundly affect your physical health. When
feeling hypersensitive or mood-dominated, consider taking
the flower
essences QUEEN OF THE NIGHT
or RED CLOVER.
Asc. Trine Venus:
Your good looks and agreeable manners are apt to win you
friends and smooth your path throughout life. You know
how to harmonize
with and
please people.
Many things are offered to you, or come easily to you and
as a result you may become rather jaded. Vanity, narcissism,
and
superficial
values and
relationships are potential deficits. Your health, though,
is apt to be good.
Moon and Venus: Emotions and Feelings
The position of the Moon in your birth chart reflects your emotional nature,
what you need to feel nurtured, what feels familiar and comfortable to you.
It is also your deeply-held beliefs and mostly unconscious or instinctive
responses, which play themselves out in your closest personal relationships.
Your moods, memories, dream life, and feeling-self are depicted by the moon
in your birth chart.
Moon in Scorpio:
Key issues: Sexuality and intimacy; emotional initiation through pain.
Kay qualities: intensity, passion, deep feeling, instinctiveness and intuitiveness.
You are drawn, instinctively, into the depths. With your acute emotional
and psychic sensitivity, you are able to see deeply into other people, perceiving
the true nature of their needs and motivations, and you are simply not capable
of relating superficially. You tend to be all or nothing with friends, lovers,
anyone or anything you care for. You may be suspicious, untrusting, or cynical,
with a tendency to hone in on a darker side of things. You are also prone to
emotional compulsion or to relationships with people who confront you with
your demons, with issues of obsession, jealousy, loss, abandonment. If your
personal life is uncomplicated and free of such things, you will seek this
side of life in your choice of entertainment (horror stories, "noir" films)
or work (with, for instance, animals or people who have been abused.) Rather
to the bewilderment of those folks who prefer life nice and pretty and full
of light only, you seem to need this to feel fully alive and emotionally fulfilled.
At your finest, you have healing abilities and the capacity to transform and
shine light up on the darkness. This assumes you have made peace with your
own shadowy, dark emotions and energies. These must be truly accepted and integrated.
Patterns of Imbalances:
Flower essences that may be helpful to you include:
For intense "nasty" emotions such as hatred, jealousy, vindictiveness,
spite, envy or a desire for revenge, and especially useful or self-hate: the
flower essence HOLLY is excellent.
Also helpful would be MOUNTAIN WORMWOOD and WILLOW for resentment and unforgiveness
towards yourself or others. BLACK COHOSH is helpful if you are caught in an
abusive or addictive relationship or lifestyle.
For emotional imbalances resulting from a painful childhood, for releasing
memories and feelings related to wounds from childhood, and allowing such feelings
to be felt and released: FUSCHIA, GOLDEN EAR DROPS, and YERBA SANTA. (Reading
and doing the exercises in Wayne Mueller's "Legacy of the Heart" is
also recommended.)
For healing old angers: the flower essences FIREWEED, WHITE FIREWEED, and
SCARLET MONKEY FLOWER are useful. Rage, or fear of becoming destructive,
can be eased
with CHERRY PLUM.
Gemstones to wear, carry, or take as an elixir to clear out your energy-bodies
of residual effects of old traumas: BLACK TOURMALINE, RHODOLITE GARNET,
and SMOKY QUARTZ. The darker green shades of JADE also harmonize with your
energies.
If you are working with others with very negative energies, the following
flower essences and gem elixirs are good for psychic protection, repelling
negatively
and/or transmuting it: the flower essences FRINGED VIOLET, YARROW and
PENNYROYAL, and the gems AMETHYST, TIGER'S EYE, and CLEAR QUARTZ.
The position of Venus in your birth chart reveals your capacity for love,
intimacy, pleasure, giving and receiving, and relationships. Representing,
also, your
taste in beauty and your values, it is a key to how you can create
harmony within yourself.
Venus in Aquarius:
You have progressive or unconventional ideas about relationship, and
may experiment with unusual arrangements with an aim to satisfying
emotional needs that perhaps
can not be met in more traditional forms of relating. Ideals of true
friendship,
community, equality, and respect for each individual's freedom color
your approach to love, and in truth friendship may well be more instinctive
and natural to
you than passionate attachment to one other person. In fact you can
be peculiarly detached at times. You do not like to admit to any
sort of
possessiveness
or jealousy, and do not like to be possessed.
Your tastes are unusual, with an appreciation for asymmetry, novelty,
and deviations from classical forms. You can promote harmony within
yourself by cultivating
a loving community of friends.
Mercury: Thinking and Ideas
The position of Mercury in your birth chart describes your intellectual qualities,
how you communicate or express yourself verbally, and in general how your
thinking patterns operate.
Mercury in Capricorn:
Intellectually, you are hardheaded, unsentimental, and interested in what
works; a theory with no practical application or usefulness holds little
appeal for
you. You have good organizational skills, also, but when out of balance
you tend to think in rigid categories, which limits your understanding. The
flower
essence SHASTA DAISY can help promote a more holistic understanding. Also
useful is the flower essence SCOTCH BROOM to alleviate pessimistic thinking
about
the world, and your own relationships to larger impersonal events.
Mars: Ambition and Drive
The position of Mars in your birth chart indicates your will power, physical
vitality and sexual drives, and your capacity for decisive action and self-assertion,
as well as the musculature and adrenals in the physical body.
Mars in Pisces:
You are gentle, nonaggressive, and essentially disinterested in competing,
fighting, or winning at someone else's expense. You lack any sort of cutthroat
or killer instinct, and may fall prey to more dominant or predatory individuals.
At best, you express sensitivity and compassion while still being assertive,
and you can devote yourself to a purpose that transcends your own narrow
self-interest.
You need to build your physical vigor, stamina, and resistance. Healthy
habits are a must, sound nutrition, plenty of rest, and especially some
form of
regular exercise (something you may not be inclined to do). When out of
balance, you
are prone to lassitude, inactivity, low vitality, giving up too easily.
Flower and garden essences that can help: GARLIC (to increase strength
and vitality,
and resistance to outside influences), MOUNTAIN PRIDE (for fear and withdrawal
in the face of challenges, lack of assertiveness), ROSEMARY (to strengthen
ego forces and warmth), and SUMMER SQUASH (for increased courage; helps
with shyness or timidity). Some energy work on the root chakra, to increase
potency
and physical vitality, could also be quite helpful.
Jupiter and Saturn: Opportunities and Challenges
The position of Jupiter in your birth chart represents the principle of growth,
improvement, expansion, faith, and the quest for ultimate meaning or broader
understanding of life.
Jupiter in Pisces:
You seek to expand your sense of connection to the Universe by your kindness,
compassion, and willingness to emotionally enter into another's world. You
are essentially a spiritual person whether or not you choose to give yourself
that label, or follow any formal religion. Your openness, nonjudgmental attitudes,
and generosity of spirit keep you open to the Tao, or flow of life.
The position of Saturn in your birth chart represents the bones, the skeleton,
and the principles of hardness, heaviness, structure, stability, form, and
boundaries. It shows what is hard for you, what you struggle with, where patterns
of rigidity or fear hinder you, what is heavy for you, where you develop character,
maturity, and depth through being tested.
Saturn in Libra:
You take commitments, promises, obligations, and responsibilities towards other
people very seriously, so much so that these can feel like overwhelming burdens
at times. You may have rigid expectations of how you and/or others should behave.
Too much emphasis on form, doing the right thing, or social acceptance can
hinder you considerably. Fear of committed partnership can be equally inhibiting,
but a willingness to enter into relationship with all of its attendent shadows,
problems, and potential pain is part of your inner development.
Flower essences that can be particularly useful to you include: DOGWOOD (for "flow" and
flexibility in relationship) and BASIL (for easing tensions; facilitates negotiations
and getting to the essence of a problem in relationship).
